TL;DR: Enter lottery to play trivia at bar. If you don’t get selected, then you get your money back.
Do you have an absurdly good memory for the most obscure niche information? Do you find yourself yelling at TVs when Jeopardy is on? We need your special gift. We’ll be testing our skills together at one of SF’s many trivia night bars; since we can only have a few people, we’ll be using a lottery system to see who gets in (works so well for housing, right?).
If you don’t get selected, no worries, we’ll get you back your money. This is a great way to test your skills, meet some cool fun people, and try out a new spot. Let’s get it!
Join your fellow alumni once again as we hike to breakfast at Mt. Tam! We'll meet at the Pantoll Campground parking lot, hike up to the West Point Inn to enjoy breakfast and the view, and then continue a loop back down to the parking lot (about 4.5 miles in total). Please bring $10 cash for the breakfast (a fundraiser for the Inn, which you can learn more about here: https://www.westpointinn.com/pancake-breakfasts).
Please wear your cardinal red, sunscreen, sturdy shoes, and bring water! There is limited cell/data service on Mt. Tam so be sure to save directions before heading out. I will be driving from the Mission in San Francisco - please let me know if you'd like to carpool. If you're interested in carpooling from other places, please let me know and I will help organize.

This d.school workshop as part of San Francisco Design Week will explore the intersection of machine learning + design in a lower resolution and experiential way.
Do you tune out when people mention machine learning, artificial intelligence, and other big words that reference emerging technologies? Do you want to understand what they are and how they might support your work and impact society? Are you “not a tech person”? If you answered yes to any of those, you are exactly the type of person that needs to be part of shaping, using, and working with emerging technology. And no, you don’t need to know anything about code. Together we’ll learn by doing.
We have secured 10 discounted tickets exclusively for Stanford alums. Tickets will be distributed as first come first served. The event is otherwise sold out. Get your tickets now! For those who are interested and have time, we will head to lunch together nearby after the workshop.

All alumni are welcome to sign up to volunteer.
About St. Anthony’s Free Clothing Program
St. Anthony’s Free Clothing Program is San Francisco’s largest free clothing program, providing warm clothes, interview apparel or workwear, and children’s clothing to homeless and low-income families and individuals. The Free Clothing Program at a glance:
More than $3,000,000 in clothing donations from individuals and corporate partners per year and nearly 1,200 volunteer hours each month
36,000 pieces of new and like-new clothing distributed for free to nearly 10,000 guests each year (including more than 2,500 children)
The average family spends $700 per child on clothing each year (USDA, 2014); the majority of families have two or three children, which can mean spending $2,100 each year. For low-income or single parents struggling to pay rent while covering healthcare costs and other critical bills, a clothing budget may be nonexistent.

Please join members of Paradise and neighboring towns impacted by the fire for a day of community building and land recovery on April 27th. We will plant trees, establish erosion control, do bioremediation with mushrooms, make seed balls, and other eco-system repair techniques.
